Senior Pastor
Rev. Venessa Harmel
Pastor Ve joined us on January 1, 2023. She is an Ordained Disciples of Christ Minister and comes to us from Juliette Fowler Communities in Dallas TX where she served as the Director of Spiritual Life. Pastor Ve is a lifelong Disciple of Christ and is enjoying her twelfth year in ministry.
She worked full-time in the “corporate world” for thirty-five years and participated in part-time ministry. In 2017 she felt called to pursue ordination into full-time ministry. Prior to earning a Master of Divinity Degree from Brite Divinity School at TCU, she and her late husband were blessed to raise four children. Today, Pastor Ve is happily responsible for her Airedale Terrier and finds joy in outdoor activities, live music, and social gatherings with friends and family.
She is enjoying meeting new friends and experiencing God in Danville Indiana!

Where Do I Go?

The easiest way to enter the church is through the west doors under the awning as

seen in this photo. There is an elevator inside this door to reach the sanctuary.

The front doors on US 36 (Rockville road) are also open at the top of a few steps.

Greeters will meet you inside and answer any questions you might have.
What is Worship Like?
-
Worship begins at 10:30 am Sunday mornings. A blended style of worship includes praising in song, communion, reading of scripture, prayer, and preaching.

Children are welcome to remain in worship with you. If you prefer more age-appropriate worship for your children, they are welcome to join other children for Kidz Worship upstairs. Children are released to KidzWorship midway through the service by our Pastor.

The nursery is available for infants through 3 years old. This is available before the service starts.

If you would like to meet the teachers or caregivers before the service starts, please let the greeter know when entering.
What Should I Wear?

Some worshipers wear very casual jeans and T-shirts and others wear their Sunday best.

Feel free to dress to your preferred comfort.
